Getting a Philippines visa in Bangkok

Getting a Philippines visa in Bangkok is easy peasy.  The embassy is on Sukhumvit road and is open from 9am-6pm and you can go all day to turn in the application.  We arrived at 12 noon and after signing in went into the consular office.  There you ask for a form which takes all of 2 minutes to fill out.  You need to attach one picture, have a copy of your passport and a copy of your entry and exit tickets.  After turning in the documents you have to wait a few minutes to be called to the cashier window where you pay 1050 bahts, about 35 euros (for an American or Spanish visa in our case).  You are then instructed to return the next day after 2pm to pick up your visas.  And that`s it.  And the best part is that on the way in or out you are greeted with this promise,

I sure hope it is true as we leave tomorrow for the Philippines!
